WWE RAW – 5 Surprises that could happen- Legendary Tag Team reunites, Top star returns with a new look
This week’s episode of WWE RAW is a critical one in the road to WrestleMania especially considering how things shaped up on the previous episode of RAW and the SmackDown that followed.
We do not yet know who Edge will challenge next, and neither do we know if Bianca Belair will show up on WWE RAW for a confrontation with Asuka.
Be sure to leave a comment and let us know exactly what surprises you expect on the following WWE RAW episode, ladies and gentlemen. And what do you think of all the WWE RAW surprises that have been listed in this article?
Do you think any of them will happen on this week’s show?
#5 WWE RAW fans rejoice as Edge and Christian reunite as a tag team unit to take on The Hurt Business
Recently, during a teleconference, Edge was asked about whether he would want to team up with Christian, following the amazing moment the two men shared at the 2021 Royal Rumble. This is what Edge had to say:
I would love it! I think at some point that would need to happen – just because there’s so many opportunities there. Between Edge and Christian against the Usos – I mean, man! Edge and Christian against The New Day, Edge and Christian against Ziggler and Roode, Edge and Christian versus The Street Profits! Not for nothing, Edge and Christian versus Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. There’s some stuff there.
No, The Hurt Business isn’t one of the teams named here, but considering they are out of opponents, we could certainly see Edge and Christian teaming up to go for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships this week.
Another report indicates Christian will be working a part-time schedule, lending credence to the possibility of this major reunion.
#4 Alexa Bliss heralds the return of The Fiend to WWE RAW, except it’s a brand new look
There is a rumor doing the rounds about WWE RAW Superstar Bray Wyatt’s big return to the brand. It is that when he is back on WWE RAW, he will come back with a brand new look.
Obviously, this is to sell the fact that he was incinerated by Randy Orton not long ago on WWE RAW. If he does return with no damage done, it will undersell the enormity of the moment, even though Alexa Bliss’ fireball seems to only have inflicted temporary damage on Randy Orton.
It may indeed be the right time to bring Bray Wyatt back to WWE RAW right now because the road to WrestleMania is underway, and the feud with Randy Orton needs to play out before it runs past its expiry date.
Imagine how terrifying Mr. Bray Wyatt, burnt to a crisp in his new avatar will look, if he does return to WWE RAW this week to take Orton down.
#3 Sheamus enlists the help of WWE RAW stars Elias and Jaxson Ryker to take down Drew McIntyre
Not too many fans were stunned last week during WWE RAW when Sheamus decided to turn on Drew McIntyre and hit him with a Brogue Kick, laying him out on the mat. Something about Sheamus just screams ‘heel’ even when he is portrayed as a babyface on the show.
The other issue with the Sheamus character, at this point, is that very few people may believe that he actually has a chance to defeat Drew McIntyre, especially if you consider the manner in which he has been booked on WWE television. This is precisely why he may call upon the services of Jaxson Ryker and Elias to lend him support, to bolster the ranks, and take his opponent down.
Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus has the potential to be the most exciting feud on WWE RAW because of the real-life history that these two men share. It allows these two big men to slug it out in a very physical encounter, the kind we don’t often see on WWE RAW anymore.
#2 WWE RAW Women’s Champion Asuka, upset at being pinned, turns on Charlotte Flair
Remember what happened last week on WWE RAW? The RAW Women’s Champion Asuka was pinned by Naomi and Lana, as they went on to earn a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Obviously, Charlotte’s head is not in the game anymore, and the WWE RAW Women’s Champion may not be pleased.
It may be at this point that Asuka decides that enough is enough and go heel, to the shock, surprise, and amazement of the WWE Universe, setting up a major title match in the process.
Obviously, the big question is whether the audience will support Charlotte Flair over Asuka, but when there are no fans in the arena, and you can control crowd reactions, this is not so much of an issue. What is a guarantee, however, is that Asuka and Charlotte Flair will light it up in the ring when they get a chance to clash next.
#1 Carlito and Jeff Hardy go after the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, teaming up with Riddle
Last week on WWE RAW, Jeff Hardy and Carlito teamed up to defeat Jaxson Ryker and Elias in a union that fans were thrilled by. Considering the lack of competition for The Hurt Business, especially the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, it is all too likely that they will enter the current title picture.
Obviously, the numbers will still be on the side of the heels. What Carlito and Hardy can choose to do at that point is team up with Riddle, who’s had his own issues with the most dominant faction in the WWE RAW brand.
Do not be surprised if the implosion of The Hurt Business results in brand new tag team champions on the WWE RAW brand, especially considering all of the infighting.
And for the final surprise, do you think Bianca Belair could show up on WWE RAW and challenge Asuka at WrestleMania? Have you checked out her exclusive interview with SK Wrestling that’s been linked above?
