Two big matches announced for WWE Monday Night Raw
WWE has announced two big matches and a segment for this coming Monday’s episode of Raw.
Randy Orton will take on Braun Strowman. This match comes one week after Orton and Strowman failed to win a number 1 contender’s Triple Threat Match to earn a chance to face Bobby Lashley for the Universal Title at WrestleMania Backlash. Lashley will defend the title in a rematch against Drew McIntyre at the next pay-per-view.
The Orton/Strowman match was made because Orton hit the RKO on Strowman last week that basically cost Strowman the match before McIntyre hit Orton with the Claymore kick.
Another match announced for the show was actually scheduled for WrestleMania but it was scrapped when WWE pulled Charlotte Flair from the pay-per-view. This Monday night on Raw, Flair will face Asuka and, according to commercials that have aired on USA Network, that match will be the main event.
Charlotte and Asuka previously held the Women’s Tag Team Titles and it will be Charlotte’s first match since the March 1st episode.
WWE has also announced that McIntyre will be on the show to look for T-Bar and Mace after they attacked him last week, seemingly at the direction of MVP.
