Paul Heyman Teases Brock Lesnar Could Return Along With Fans
Paul Heyman has teased that Brock Lesnar could make his return to WWE when the promotion kicks off its touring schedule. The company has announced a 25-city summer tour that will begin on July 16, with fans also set to make a first audience-forming appearance since WrestleMania 37 in April.
Fans will also be in attendance when Money in the Bank airs two days later – the two-night affair starts on July 18 and will be held in Fort Worth, Texas.
Heyman was recently interviewed by Houston radio station SportsTalk 790 and, asked about Lesnar’s future, the Beast Incarnate’s former on-screen manager hinted the towering superstar could make his return alongside the fans.
“Asking me about Brock Lesnar is a highly intelligent question and I commend you on your efforts,” he said in quotes transcribed by Sportskeeda.com.
“However, it’s a hypothetical. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wanted to be back in WWE at this moment, at this particular time and place, he would be. Maybe, maybe he has been waiting for the live events, and maybe he’ll choose Houston to make that return… or maybe not, because Brock Lesnar is going to do whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do.”
Who Would Be Brock Lesnar’s Ideal Return Opponent?
Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. He remains a free agent, with his WWE deal having expired sometime after the match.
Should he return to WWE while Bobby Lashley is WWE Champion, we could finally get to see the two superstars lock horns. Lashley has been wanting a match with Brock ever since he returned to WWE.
The Beast Incarnate could also be thrust into a story with Roman Reigns. As it turns out, Heyman has been managing the Tribal Chief in Brock’s absence. The dynamics could get pretty interesting if he comes back this year.
