Roman Reigns Issues A Warning To The Rock And John Cena

Roman Reigns has responded to rumors he’ll be facing John Cena and The Rock by telling the two of them it’s in their best interests to stay away.

It feels a lot like nothing can stop Roman Reigns right now. No matter who steps up to challenge The Tribal Chief, not only do they ultimately lose, but it rarely even feels like they have a chance. On the surface that sounds like a bad thing, but it’s actually pretty great. It is turning Reigns into what the heel fans always wanted him to be, and the face of the company Vince McMahon has so desperately needed him to be.

As entertaining as Reigns’ matches against Cesaro and Jey Uso have been, there will be a time when more legitimate threats to his Univeral Title emerge. Two of the more notable names being touted for shots at The Head of the Table are John Cena and The Rock. Not only does Reigns appear to be unphased by this talk, but he has also issued a warning to the pair in case they really are considering stepping up.

During an appearance on ESPN’s SportsNation, Reigns said matches with Cena and Rock are dream bouts for fans, but shouldn’t be dreams for the Superstars in question. “If I were these guys, I don’t know if I’d wanna come back and deal with me. I am a problem right now for everybody,” Reigns said. “If I were them, I’d stay on set and keep pumping out these streaming service movies.”

Incredibly strong words directed at two men Reigns could well step into the ring with very soon. Cena, in particular, who is rumored to be heading back to WWE as soon as July 16, the night fans return to buildings for the long-term. If he does, the above clip just goes to show Reigns is far better prepared for a promo battle with Cena than he was when they first feuded years ago.

As for The Rock, even though the match makes almost too much sense on paper, getting it in the ring will be pretty difficult. The Rock has such a busy schedule that finding time to get himself ring-ready and wrestle a match will be damn-near impossible. The most likely landing spots for that dream match should it happen would be WrestleMania 38, or WrestleMania Hollywood the year after.
