Riddle Reveals Why He And Seth Rollins Legitimately Don’t Like Each Other

Riddle has explained why he and Seth Rollins don’t get along. The issue stems from comments Riddle’s wife made about female WWE Superstars in 2019.

Professional wrestling might be staged, but every now and again competitors who really don’t like one another will clash in the ring. In 2020, Seth Rollins revealed one of those scenarios he was keen on avoiding. A match with Riddle. During a WWE Watch Along, Rollins revealed that he had no interest in ever facing Riddle, not divulging why that is.

The Riddle Rollins Beef

All these months later, Riddle has finally revealed why he and Rollins legitimately don’t get along. The Original Bro told talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy that the issue between the two stems from comments his wife made on social media in November 2019. Lisa Riddle body-shamed some female wrestlers, including Becky Lynch. The post was quickly deleted but you can find it below courtesy of Wrestling Inc.

“My significant other said something about Becky that they didn’t like and I also did not like or agree with. Seth didn’t like me after that and I don’t think Becky liked me or my wife either,” Riddle explained to McCarthy. Even though Rollins has no desire to ever face Riddle, he has actually been in two multi-person matches since he made those comments on Watch Along.

Hatchet Buried At Survivor Series

The first of their two meetings was at Survivor Series just a few weeks later. WWE appeared to play off the comments Rollins made, having him effectively refuse to be a part of Team SmackDown because Riddle was on Team Raw. Riddle caught up with Rollins after the match and apologized for what his wife said the year before. Apparently, Rollins was taken aback by his apology, but even though the door may be open for a singles match, Riddle doesn’t think the two of them will ever be friends.

“I hope we’re good now. And I will say this, we’re good enough to be working together, I don’t think we’re friends,” Riddle went on to say. Two months after that, the pair of them actually did clash in a match. This year’s men’s Royal Rumble. Rollins hit Riddle with a curb stomp and eliminated him. They will be in the same multi-person match for a third time in less than a year at Money in the Bank next weekend.
